JCOA provides its members transportation to and from their homes to our area centers. This allows them the opportunity to engage in the community.
The Transportation Department uses ten (10) lift-equipped vehicles to transport passengers within the boundaries of Jefferson Parish on a modified, fixed route basis, Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 4:00pm. Geographic areas served include:
Metairie, Marrero/Harvey
Estelle, Harahan/River Ridge
Terrytown, Jean Lafitte/Lafitte/Barataria/Crown Point
Grand Isle, Bridge City/Avondale/Waggaman/Nine Mile Point
Jefferson, Gretna
Our prime concern is the comfort and safety of our passengers. Radio contact is maintained with the drivers when their vehicles are in use to add an extra margin of safety for them and their passengers. All drivers are CPR certified.
